HQR Sail 2022

The Summer Networking Event

1-5 May 2022, departing on the Sunday morning and returning on the Thursday during the day.

Dubrovnik, Croatia. Island-hopping in the Adriatic with turquoise seas, fresh breezes and beautiful sunshine.

As a spin-off of the popular HQR Ski Trip, delegates are welcome from London's prime residential construction and HNW advisory sectors.

Subject to availability / prevailing weather conditions

Sunday 1st

Travel from London Heathrow to Dubrovnik Airport in the morning; join our yachts and receive our skippers' briefings.

Monday 2nd

We take to the seas, getting a feel for our yachts. Lunch in a quiet cove or a beach-side restaurant, with time for swimming or snorkelling, followed by an afternoon sail to our overnight destination.

Tuesday 3rd

As you settle into the yachting lifestyle, today is all about making sure everyone takes a turn behind the wheel. We'll be striking out on a modest itinerary, and tonight we'll be rafting up for a sociable sundowner...

Wednesday 4th

With our yacht teams now functioning as well-oiled machines, today we'll be putting our experience into practice. It's regatta day. Consider it a little like tendering, but at sea. Tonight we return to dry land for a celebratory dinner en masse.

Thursday 5th

After a fabulous few days at sea, it's time for us to return to real life - we'll be heading for the airport and back on to London in the morning.

Some feedback from previous HQR Ski Trips

A trip to exceed all expectations, this well oiled machine doesn’t miss a beat thanks to meticulous organisation - an absolute must for your diary!

Rohan Sherlock - Sherlock London

Great people, great snow, great networking. All organised with the precision of a Swiss watch which means, for once, you don’t have to do the thinking!

Chris Jones - Ideaworks

A fantastic opportunity to meet and socialise with some great people from leading companies within the HQR industry. The quality of the organisation, accommodation and the company is outstanding and everyone is made to feel incredibly welcome.

Useful Information

What about Coronavirus?

COVID-19 sadly put paid to HQR Ski 2022. At present, the hope is that no new variants will stand in the way of HQR Sail 2022. If that isn't the case, we will do everything we can to 'roll over' as much as we can to a future trip.

Do we need to be able to sail?

No. Each yacht comes with a professional skipper as standard. If you are a competent sailor and would like to take control of (and responsibility for!) your own yacht, you can bring another guest instead.

Can I book a single cabin?

Unlike HQR Ski, for this trip it can only be sold by the yacht. We're happy to match-make, however - if you'd like a single cabin on a yacht, please fill in the form below and we'll help people into yacht-sized groups.

What's included?

Flights, transfers, the yacht, yacht damage waiver insurance (!), Wi-Fi and Croatian tourism tax.

Ok, so what's not included?

Food, drink, fuel, mooring fees and any additional excursions/activities you'd like to undertake locally. We'll operate the same kitty system we use on HQR Ski, however, so you'll be able to just pay your split of the bill when you get back.

What kind of yachts can we expect?

Yachts are between 44-47 feet, and all less than three years old. They either have 3 or 4 cabins (remember your skipper needs his/her own cabin), which are relatively cosy, so you will probably only want to share with your closest colleagues (or your partner).

How many people to a yacht?

If you have a 4-cabin yacht with a skipper, you'll have 3 cabins left; if you have a 3-cabin yacht with a skipper, you'll have 2 cabins left. Each cabin can sleep up to two people, with the proviso above about cosiness.

What are the payment terms?

All upfront, please. You can pay by bank transfer or card.

What else do I need to consider?

Please make sure that you have the right to travel to Croatia, now that we have left the European Union. Please also remember that your EHIC card will no longer be valid so you MUST have travel insurance that will cover you while abroad.

Who is operating the trip? Are they financially secure?

The trip is being operated by Mariner International Travel (UK) Limited, a subsidiary of Travelopia. They are ABTA bonded and ATOL protected.
